Crowded water ways
This is a topic that concerns all, for a variety of reasons. Covid 19 has to be number one. This is generally not a problem for single person kayaks. It's what makes this sport a "No Brainer".
The crowded water ways can be an issue as well. Lately I've seen upwards of 20 kayaks / canoes in less than 100 yds of area. It looked like bumper cars at the local carnival. The brick and mortar rental sites are overwhelmed with business and the average kayak renter generally stays within 1/2 mile from their original launch site.
Aquahoppers is unique in that you can explore uncrowded water ways that the masses cant reach. With so many options for locations, we cant figure why anyone would do anything else. If Solace is your goal......Call us, we'll lay it out for you. Get Yakin' !!

Weeds
So, if you've been out on the Sudbury river in the last week or so, you can plainly see the aquatic vegetation creeping in. It happens this time every year, and since it's a part of the river's ecosystem, It Is What It Is !!
Generally, we find the worst weed choking in the "Great Plains" areas, where the sunlight beats down on the water without the mercy of shade trees along the banks. The thrill is gone when you have to untangle your paddle on every stroke. Keeping to the center of the weedy stretches solves the problem, but still.......
Spring and Fall are my favorite times to kayak. Although I hit the water every chance I get, year round. Enjoy and get your Yak on !!
